The direct experience of eating

When we remove the morality & guilt from eating, you’re left with the direct experience. After some time, with unconditional permission, & habituation, most people come to realise naturally which foods feel good in their bodies & give them energy & bring them satisfaction. When we have attached morality and subsequently feel guilt / shame around food / certain foods, we’re often so busy feeling awful mentally, that we don’t even notice how a food actually feels within our body: the direct experience.

-

What we think & how we feel are often different in these circumstances re food / eating.

-

Intuitive Eating is all about feeling.

-

Over time, when food becomes food again, and all foods are on a morally neutral ground, we naturally tend to gravitate toward those foods which both feel good inside us, that give us the energy we are needing, and allow us to feel satisfied.

-

Just know you are not alone if you experience the former. I sit with around 5 people a day, 3 days / week, that’s 15 / week, that’s 780 people a year, & not 1 single person who I have sat with at The Intuitive Dietitian Clinic hasn’t struggled with this. The reason I am so deeply passionate about the work I do is that this was also once me. You are not alone. But you also don’t have to live like this forever

-

You may not believe it possible but with the right framework, tools, support, guidance & nurturing, I truly believe anyone can become an Intuitive Eater / liver. So get in touch if you feel called to this journey xx
