The Dieting Dilemma
It’s time to get out of the vicious dieting cycle, ONCE AND FOR ALL.
Dieting doesn’t work, for many reasons.
Some of the reasons dieting doesn’t work are biological and health related, others are emotional and psychologically related.
It also has a lot to do with autonomy.
The catch is that diet culture likes you to believe it’s your fault.
But it’s not.
We do not fail diets, diets fail us. And it’s a vicious cycle.
As an adult, you have a sense of freedom and autonomy.
No diet, and no diet counsellor can possibly know when you’re hungry, what you feel like eating, or when your full.
The simple act of stepping across your personal and psychological boundary can trigger so many thoughts and feelings and actions of rebellion.
So rest, assured, when your diet fails, your protecting your personal wisdom when you react against that diet with rebellion.
You’re actually psychologically healthy.
I hear a lot of people say… “I’ll try Intuitive Eating when I’ve lost some weight first”. But the dieting cycle will only guide you to the same place, time and time again, as seen in the image above.
