Is Intuitive Eating about throwing Nutrition and Health out the window?

Intuitive Eating (IE) is a long term process, with a long term goal being the empowerment of another to know, understand and feel what serves their body best in terms of wants and needs. A common misconception of IE is that it throws nutrition and health out the window. This is not a long term goal of IE, though it is important to highlight that this is somewhat necessary in the first phase of the IE journey for those with an excessive fixation on how certain foods affect their body shape and health. The IE journey doesn’t end there and there’s a lot more to it.
Intuitive Eating is a journey.
At first you're going to have to throw away most of what you know, and work in this first phase about learning to enjoy food again and listen to your body's cues. Once a bit of time is spent together, the next levels start to get explored and you start to see how IE can really start to benefit you in life.
I wouldn’t recommend delving into this journey alone as sometimes a voice of reason is needed and support & guidance with understanding of the concepts.
