Food Police Check


Food police check. Do you view foods as ‘good’ and/or ‘bad’? Do you feel guilty for eating something you deem ‘unhealthy’? If you’re craving a certain food, do you forbid yourself to have it? Do you have forbidden foods you don’t allow yourself to eat? Do you follow eating rules or diet plans which dictate what, when and/or how to eat?

The Food Police are the strong inner judge and jury, attaching morals, rules and guilt to your food choices.

If you’re experiencing the presence of The Food Police in your life, it’s important to unpack this with an experienced practitioner as these rules, restrictions, and morals can largely contribute to disordered eating and eating disorders. The Food Police can also be (wrongly) applauded in some health, gym and wellness spaces whereby disordered eating can often fly under the radar as health professionals and coaches are unaware of the harm involved and the professional themselves, may have the Food Police in full swing in their own lives.
